Snooker Coaching: Having all the confidence in the world Judd will Not make a top player. The confidence to be more adventurous in play may help but there is no substitute for an open mind. Players stop learning with the 100 break and resort to a copycat method in practice. DM

A secret is wasted if not shared.

Dear Judd Trump
How are you lad! Sorry for your quick exit from the York Tournament but not surprising as there are a dozen plus players capable of being No.1 in the rankings.

The York Tournament lost much as you are a snooker entertainer like Ronnie O. At present lad you are doing  a Jimmy White and playing too much to the gallery.

Your family and friends are doing great harm by forever praising you as if "You had performed well in a Christmas play" instead of a difficult mental challenge that's acquired by habit instead of detailed words.

Snooker is not really a mental challenge if the players know what they are doing Right and doing Wrong instead of practising successful faults.

The player that masters the long pot; but Not by the trial and error method will be a permanent No 1. Good luck lad.. You are not playing fast enough but far too quickly on the strike. Mr Hey You Daniel Marner@mrheyyoutwittrfacebookandyahoo
