Clive Everton as "The voice of snooker" and a close billiard friend of Joe Davis should have sheltered Joe’s life work from the early snooker bandits. A friendly word on the phone would have been enough from Clive not necessarily a public warning from Snooker Scene.
Joe Davis (on admission) created his way of "Coaching Snooker"by the primitive method of "Trial and Error" at the request of the then snooker establishment. Joe's first book "Improve Your Snooker" in October 19-36 sounds very much like a coaching method.
Every "Cue Ball" player in the world is a copycat or coached by a Joe Davis copycat. If Terry Griffiths or any other self proclaimed coach had a better or different method of coaching it would be registered copyright.
